Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 May 2026

This page explains how adshieldradar.com uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. We aim to use as few as possible. Where we use any non-essential cookie, we ask for your consent first via the cookie banner.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Some are required for the site to function (session, security). Others help us understand usage, remember preferences, or run advertising.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary
Required
Examples: Session, CSRF protection, security signals

Keep the site working. These are set the moment you load any page; you can't opt out without breaking the site.

Functional (preferences)
Examples: Language selection, theme, ‘you've seen the cookie banner’ flag

Remember small choices so the site behaves the same the next time you visit.

Analytics
Examples: Page-view counts, scan-flow funnel, error tracking

Help us understand which pages and features get used, so we can prioritize fixes and improvements. We do not sell this data.

Advertising / retargeting
Examples: If/when enabled — currently disabled

If we run paid campaigns, these would help measure ad effectiveness. None are active today; if we enable any, we'll update this page and re-prompt for consent.

3. Third-party cookies

We may use third-party services for analytics (e.g. Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization), error monitoring (Sentry), and content delivery (AWS CloudFront / Amplify). Each of these may set their own cookies. They are bound by their own privacy policies, which we link to in our Privacy Policy.

4. How to control cookies

  • On this site: use the cookie banner at first visit, or revisit your choice via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
  • Browser-level: every modern browser lets you block cookies entirely or per site. Search “manage cookies” in your browser settings.
  • Industry tools: EU users can opt out via youronlinechoices.eu; US users via optout.aboutads.info.

5. Do Not Track and GPC

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends it. When GPC is detected we treat the visit as non-consent for any non-essential cookies, regardless of banner interaction.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie category or change any existing behavior, we update this page and (where required) re-prompt for consent.
